Should I clean moss off my roof?
A light dusting of moss is mostly cosmetic. It becomes a problem when the cushions thicken: moss holds water against the tiles, pushes into the gaps where tiles overlap and washes down into the gutters, where it causes blockages. Once you can see clumps on the ridge or along the bottom courses, removing moss from the roof is worth doing.
